Last night Mike and Rob attended the .Net Awards in London. The awards are an annual event held by industry leading publication, .Net Magazine. Having written for .Net previously, Rob was asked to be on the award judging panel which featured 100 industry experts. Mike tagged along to make Rob look cool.

The event was held at The Ministry of Sound and was an informal affair with much drinking (it was a free bar!) and chatting with like-minded folk. Some of the winners were a surprise, not least Ravelry winning community site of the year, pipping both Facebook and Twitter to the title. Smashing Magazine won blog of the year for the second year running and design agency of the year went to American company, Happy Cog.

It was great to catch up with some old friends and make new friends. Now we are going to work even harder so we can attend next year's awards as a nominee.
