Insights
Thanks to everyone who applied for this postion. We've now found our new Marketing Assistant (Hello, Amy), so the position is now closed :).

The role

You’ll work alongside the Client Account team, shaping potential strategies before independently using the teams creative skills and your own creative writing to start talking, shouting, promoting and celebrating the work we do across a wide range of channels. Initially the role will be focussed on promoting Toward alone but over time may grow to incorporate live projects, helping widen our client offering.

This position is being funded by the Government backed Kick Start initiative aimed only at 16-24yr olds on Universal Credit.

Our intention is to make this a full time permanent position.
  • Fixed term position for six months (minimum)

  • 25 hours per week - flexible working (minimum)

  • Working remotely (until restrictions change, then blended working)

  • Immediate start

About you

You need to have some decent skills to get going. You need to be able to create strategies, to know our audiences, to write in an honest, no jargon, creative way. You’ll need to understand us, our sector and to be creative with how you use different channels to get us in the spotlight.

Ideally you’ll have a qualification in marketing, or some experience, but most of all, you’ll have a great attitude, be determined to progress and love what you do.

Here’s what we’re going to need you to do:

  • Create marketing strategies, budget planning and creating content

  • Grow and expand our social presence and interact with followers

  • Raise our profile

  • Work with our creative team to write kick ass case studies and blog posts

  • Research and monitor what others are doing, learn and be relevant

  • Create and distribute content to our existing client base and beyond

  • Build, populate and distribute emails, newsletters and other content

  • Write press releases, award entries and occasional tender responses

  • Be an active member of our team — contribute and help others wherever you can.

  • Keep up to date with new social media platforms, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information

It would be great if you:

  • Had a strong understanding of Google analytics, Google Ads, HootSuite (or other scheduling software) and MailChimp

  • Had a technical understanding of web search performance
