Pushing the boundaries
When the team approached us to design them a new, more content focused website we knew it was a great opportunity to create something bold and exciting. The design needed to both reflect the calibre of companies White Star invest in, and make the firm stand out in a crowded, high profile sector.
We wanted to create a website that felt interesting as well as being informative. We developed a design around an off-set grid to help break up content and lead the eye. To help provide flexibility with the grid, we built a Craft CMS plugin to help create bespoke grid layouts. Crisp, clean visuals and bold typography help give the site a modern, but established look.
The new website brings together a wealth of portfolio information, news posts and team bios to create a constantly updating and relevant portfolio.
Treating all investments equally
One of the goals of the site was make it feel alive, regularly updated with investment news. White Star also wanted to showcase the relationship each partner has to the investment companies and use the site as a platform to share news about each company.
We designed a taxonomy and bespoke Craft CMS plugin that connected the dots. Connecting investors to investments, and feeding in news from various sources.
This helps add value to White Star's investment offering, and helps visitors discover more as they move through the site.
Putting the team front and centre
The Whitestar team have a diverse range of skills and expertise and the new site needed to reflect this and provide an insight into each team members background. We designed individual staff pages that show off their experience, investment portfolio, social presence and history.
We've helped Whitestar evolve their brand identity and delivered a website that will serve them for many years to come.
